A historic pub, with roots dating back centuries, is set to close in spring. The Bear and Staff, located in the heart of Gateacre, has been acquired by Chester restaurant company Hickory’s Smokehouse who has announced plans to invest and reopen the premises as the latest addition to its portfolio.
